この特別なコーヒーを生み出すのは、エチオピア・グジエリアのシャキッソ村に位置するTADE GG農園。首都アジスアベバから南へ約400km、深い森の中に広がるこの農園では、コーヒーの木々の間をヤギが歩き回り、農家の活気あふれる声が響く、のどかな風景が広がっています。

農園のプロデューサーTesfaye氏は、2000年から2004年にかけて相次いで発生した山火事の後、残されたわずかな森林と広大な土地を守るために5ヘクタールを購入。森林の再生と保護を願いながらコーヒーとシェードツリーを植え、有機栽培でのコーヒー生産を開始しました。2006年の初収穫以来、地域の小規模農家と共に品質向上と安定供給に努め、農園の規模を拡大。現在では栽培面積が521ヘクタールにまで広がり、シャキッソ村はコーヒーの森として豊かに発展しています。

From the very first sip, this Ethiopian coffee greets you with a lively acidity and abundant sweetness. This remarkable coffee comes from TADE GG Farm, located in Shakisso Village, Guji, about 400 km south of Addis Ababa. Nestled deep within lush forests, the farm is a peaceful haven where coffee trees thrive alongside freely roaming goats, and the voices of local farmers fill the air.

The farm's producer, Tesfaye, began his journey in coffee cultivation after a series of devastating wildfires between 2000 and 2004. In response, he purchased 5 hectares of land, determined to protect and restore the remaining forest. He planted coffee trees and shade trees, committing to organic cultivation. Since the farm’s first harvest in 2006, Tesfaye has worked alongside small-scale farmers to improve quality and ensure consistency. Over time, the farm has expanded, and today, TADE GG covers 521 hectares, transforming Shakisso into a thriving coffee-growing community surrounded by lush greenery.
